I have a kip3000 with color scanning but everytime the machine is turned off and back on the color scan is gone and the code has to be re-installed. I dont lose any of my other key codes.

Check the connections for the scanner. If they are loose this can happen.

Also check that the color chip did not pop out. This happened to me once.

On the main board, can't miss it, it is about 2"X2"
