Ok, I feel stupid asking this question, but here goes. Can Autocad Revit be linked to Request accounting software, while Original Auto Cad 2007 is linked? Customer wants to have accounting software prompt users and Job Numbers from Revit, like the AutoCad 2007 does. I was told that Revit has to use Windows Driver and not a HDI driver...is this correct?
I hope I have asked this question correctly. I don't know AutoCad very well and could use a little help .
Cheers

In revit you can only use the windows driver as it is not possible to use HDI driver. The accounting will work if using the standard kip monitor port as its bidirectional so will receive accounting info from the printer. It is also best to use a kip script output from revit if you have the pdf option as certain gradations dont print well with KIPgl
I hope this makes sense. |

Thanks Brainz
So will Revit have to be linked to windows driver some how, or do they just select the 5000 printer and print? I think they want to be prompted to put a user name and job number like they do in request and AutoCad. If they just select the 5000 printer and print, will the jobs show up in accounting ?

| If they select print in revit and choose the 5000.. that is the windows print driver. If unified accounting is properly deployed, the accounting window will pop up. |
