I am loading IPS 7 on my first machine today. I have only seen pics of it but never worked on it.

Is there any info I need or bugs I should know about, as my customer is a dufficulty one.

I have a 3100 I need to take up to 7 for my first time as well. Do I need to order a cd for this, or can I just run a patch? I see a patch is downloadable from the kip site, but will that run or do I need to ghost?

the patch is for systems already using IPS7. the new software is on a DVD. you will need to order it. I recommend you get an external USB CD/DVD drive.... they make upgrades easier

Mike, why you suggest to upgrade printer firmware ? Did you had some problem before ? I never upgrade the printer firmware while I put 7.X software...
