We have a 6000 that keeps breaking its dev gears. We have made sure that it is level and we have installed the alingment kit, but it still breaks a gear or two every 3 months or so, and it isn't the same one every time. We have also tried replacing all the dev gears at the same time to see if that would help and nothing. Any idea's? _________________ Justin Jones |

Hi Justin
Sounds like you have something that is causing friction that is taking your gears out. I use to have problems with the small idler gear would let go. I have since converted 3- 6000's over to the newer style 5000 brush style Dev Assy over a year ago, and have not had any problems at all with gears.
Just food for thought!!
Good Luck

| Yep, sounds like too much friction. You could try a new scraper blade if you are looking for a cheaper fix. They get old and tend to get a tacky feeling to them with age. |

It's also possible to get the scraper blade too tight against the reg roller, causing friction as well. I did it a couple of times when I first started. |
